Barry Dworkin's father was a big influence on his son's career in music. In the mid-1970s, Mr. Dworkin managed several of Newbridge's top bands, including Jester, Paragon/Paradox, and Robot Face. The Dworkin family den served as a practice space for the musicians, and it was the site of a defining moment for Barry. As a youngster, he once peeked into the den and saw the bass player for Jester getting "pleasured". This inspired Barry to pursue his rock 'n roll dreams. His father has since left the music management field to become a balloon salesman.
