Hippy Johnny is a tyrannical, morally corrupt, right-wing entrepreneur who runs the Mellow Grove commune. Under the guise of traditonal hippy values, he exploits the children by converting them into a flock of laborers forced to manufacturer and package his line of "Farm Fresh" products, which include drain cleaner and brake pads. The women fare no better in his patriarchal society, reduced to domestic slaves whose work is restricted to making food for the men and an array of other character-building household duties such as scrubbing cauldrons. (They are also required to wear fur bikinis like Raquel Welch in One Million Years B.C.) The men are free to explore artistic expression via paintings, sculptures, and music.
